Overview
The Associate Director of Learning and Professional Development will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving comprehensive learning and professional growth programs. This role enhances employee skills, leadership capabilities, and organizational performance through strategic learning initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate across departments, leverage learning technologies, and ensure that training programs align with organizational goals and employee needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about adult learning principles, performance improvement, and fostering an inclusive learning environment to support the mission, vision and values of Heritage Christian Services, Inc.
Pay for this position: $82993 / yr - $88275 / yr
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting
Responsibilities
* Partner with the Director of Learning & Professional Development to develop and implement strategic learning plans that align with organizational goals.
* Conduct learning needs assessments to identify gaps in employee skills and organizational capabilities, providing targeted, evidence-based solutions.
* Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and innovations in learning technologies and instructional design, integrating these into the organization’s strategy.
* Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of high-impact learning programs, both in-person and virtual, tailored to individual, team, and organizational needs.
* Supervise, mentor, and empower a team of learning professionals, including instructional designers, facilitators, and other learning specialists.
* Implement assessment tools and feedback mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs, including pre- and post-assessments, participant surveys, and performance metrics.
* Continuously assess and refine training content and delivery methods based on participant feedback, data analysis, and evolving organizational needs.
* Serve as an internal champion for learning and development, promoting a culture of continuous learning and performance excellence throughout the agency.
Qualifications
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience supervising L&D teams.
* Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning tools.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present learning outcomes to senior stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and evaluate impactful learning programs using adult learning principles.
* 3 -5 years of experience in learning & development, instructional design or a related role.
* At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or within the IDD, healthcare, or human services sectors.
* Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
