Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Receptionist to be the face of our new treatment clinic in Bruntsfield. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and callers, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations.
This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where organisational skills and attention to detail are highly valued. The successful applicant will be responsible for greeting patients, taking bookings/payments, advising on services, answering calls/emails, supporting office functions, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for clients and staff alike.
This position is for a new treatment clinic offering Physiotherapy, Sports massage, personal training and 1-2-1 Pilates so an interest in healthcare is essential.
Duties
* Greet visitors and direct them appropriately, ensuring a warm and professional first impression
* Answer incoming calls promptly, using proper phone etiquette, and redirect as necessary
* Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate room diariesusing patient software tools
* Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and face to face
* Maintain accurate records through data entry and filing systems
* Utilise Cliniko health software & email
* Support office administration by organising supplies, processing invoices, and updating databases
* Assist with general clerical duties such as room management and returning calls
* Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and professional at all times
Experience
* Previous office experience is preferred in a receptionist capacity/admin and a passion for healthcare/well-being; training will be provided for suitable candidates
* Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Experience with data entry, clerical tasks
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
* Excellent phone etiquette with clear communication skills
* Social media management would be advantageous but not essential
* Administrative experience demonstrating attention to detail and reliability is highly valued
The role will likely be 9am-3pm for 4 days per week Initially E.g. Tuesday-Friday. More hours available as clinic expands. Applications for those in or near Edinburgh will be prioritised And must be able to work in the UK already.
Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm
Pay: £12.90-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 20 per week
