Chef | Private Hospital | Part Time - Permanent | Spire South Bank Hospital | Worcester | 30hrs per week
Spire South Bank Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Chef to join the team on a permanent basis. As Chef, you will supervise, prepare, present and co-ordinate the day to day delivery of high quality food and beverage, ensuring all work is carried out hygienically and methodically, and deputising for the Senior Chef when required.

Spire South Bank Hospital has 30 years’ experience providing quality private healthcare and works with experienced Consultant Surgeons, Anaesthetists and Physicians to deliver tailored, personalised care.
Responsibilities
* To assist the Head Chef with preparation of food, including peeling and chopping vegetables.
* Meal preparation and cooking of items as agreed with the Head Chef and catering team; presentation and service of food and beverages to staff, patients and consultants.
* Assist with the service of food to staff, consultants, visitors and patients in the restaurant, coffee shop and wards when required.
* Proactively engage with patients to promote the food and beverage service and tailor options to individual needs.
* Maintain stock control through stock rotation, date checking and ensuring packaging is intact.
* Comply with health and safety procedures in line with current legislation.
* Undertake cleaning of kitchen areas, staff restaurant, coffee shop and beverage bays as scheduled, including washing up in a large commercial kitchen.
* Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene at all times.
* Carry out any reasonable request by management relating to the efficient operation of the catering department.
Who we're looking for / Qualifications
* Basic food hygiene certificate.
* Catering certificates.
* Previous experience in healthcare/hospital or a similar large-scale catering environment.
* Experience in a kitchen environment, cooking for large numbers; ability to take direction from Head Chef and Second Chef.
* Experience in a restaurant-style kitchen, wards and with visitors.
