HIAB is taking a strategic step to strengthen its on-site IT capabilities by appointing dedicated ICT specialists at its most critical and high-impact locations. We are seeking a Country IT Coordinator to lead local IT operations, support end users, and ensure infrastructure reliability in close collaboration with our global and outsourced teams. This role offers a dynamic and international working environment where your contributions will directly improve the everyday digital experience of our employees.
This position will be based in Ellesmere, UK.
Main tasks and responsibilities
1. End User Service and Support: Working as a 2nd/3rd level support, providing onsite assistance for the Global Service Desk and application teams. Responsible for tracking and resolving incidents, requests, and tasks. Ensuring our Knowledge base is up-to-date. Proposing improvements based on user feedback.
2. Infrastructure and Governance: Maintain CMDB Data and documentation. Provide hands & feet support as part of HIAB IT Support Model. Ensure systems follow Technical Standards, Security Policies, ITIL best practices. Manage local Internet and mobile providers. Work outside regular hours when needed.
3. Project Management and Service Coordination: Participate as a technical specialist in global and regional projects like service deployments, office moves, acquisitions, and divestments. Attend governance meetings. Review local invoices. Handle procurement.
4. VOIP and MDM Telephony: Support for VoIP and mobile devices, including procurement, subscription management, and lifecycle management with providers.
What you’ll need to succeed
* Diploma in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience
* 5+ years in technical IT support roles
* Knowledge of Windows desktop and MacOS (advantage)
* Knowledge of Microsoft server infrastructure
* Experience with tablets, mobile phones, and telephony (fixed and VoIP)
* Network infrastructure management skills
* Fluency in English
* ITIL framework knowledge
* Experience in a global organization (preferred)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Customer-oriented attitude
* Willingness to travel frequently
