An instantly recognisable FMCG brand is looking for a Regulatory Specialist to support the UK & Ireland business across product compliance, policy research, regulatory approvals and reviews, and monitoring of regulatory and legislative developments.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Monitor and analyse trade policy developments by relevant United Kingdom Government Departments
* Monitoring, analysis, and updates on Parliaments (including devolved nations) and institutions, for regulatory topics relevant to the company’s strategic interests
* Engagement with external advisors on trade policy, data, and sustainability related topics
* Support to the Regulatory and Government Affairs Manager in executing the company’s advocacy activities
* Support in developing key messages and engagement plans for regulatory affairs, including memorandums, messaging documents, briefings, and policy submissions – amongst others
* Working with European Colleagues to brief, analyse, and prepare for any European wide regulatory developments impacting on Ireland, and where relevant the United Kingdom

To be considered, you should have c.5yrs* experience in a regulatory role within a law firm or international corporation – with food industry experience being a big plus – but applications from other highly regulated industries would also be welcomed. You should have an understanding of UK government policy processes; and have familiarity with regulators, government and political media. You must also have demonstrable experience of interacting with/influencing senior stakeholders; and managing multiple projects in a high importance, fast-paced regulatory environment.
