Legal Cashier Location: West Midlands Contract: Permanent Salary: £25k-£35k Start Date: Flexible Contact: (url removed) Job Description Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a leading law firm in the West Midlands for a Legal Cashier to join the team on a permanent basis. The postholder will be required to support the processes of issuing and taking payments and receipts and overseeing internal and external communications and reports. Key Responsibilities Taking and issuing of receipts on-site and over the telephone. Keeping up to date with payments received via HSBCnet and Allocating payments and receipts to client ledgers. Preparation of and paying in daily banking. Completing new matter reports on a weekly basis to the Head of Departments. Using HSBCnet to keep up to date with payments received and prepare Priority and BACS payments. Processing cheque requests through Case Management System Prepare breakdowns of time and client ledgers to be sent out to Clients. Checking completion statements, processing client invoices and processing purchase ledger invoices and preparing payment runs. General covering of colleagues’ duties and carrying out other tasks specified by the Finance Manager or Practice Director.Candidate Criteria 2 years’ experience as a legal cashier in a law firm. Understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules. Proficient in IT, with particular attention to Excel. Excellent communication, with the ability to clearly explain financial matters. Great attention to detail and organisation. Ability to work to deadlines under pressure.Benefits 29 days holiday including 8 bank holidays and the day after boxing day. Your birthday off.
