About the Role
As a Compliance Processor, you’ll be a key member of the Risk & Compliance team, ensuring that the business remains aligned with regulatory standards and internal procedures. You’ll manage client onboarding processes, conduct due diligence checks, and support risk management and data protection tasks across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Client Due Diligence & Onboarding
1. Carry out KYC and AML checks in accordance with internal policy and legal regulations
2. Verify identification and supporting documentation for individual and corporate clients
3. Complete sanctions and politically exposed persons (PEP) screening
4. Maintain accurate compliance records in the firm’s case management system
Risk & Regulatory Support
5. Assist with conflict-of-interest checks and risk clearance procedures
6. Monitor and track changes in regulations in support of the compliance function
7. Ensure accurate documentation is in place for the opening of all new matters
Compliance Administration
8. Maintain logs, records and filing for audit and internal review purposes
9. Assist in coordinating internal file audits and compliance spot checks
10. Support the onboarding of new team members with training and documentation
11. Contribute to updating internal policies and training logs
What You’ll Need
Essential:
12. Experience in a compliance or regulatory support role
13. Familiarity with anti-money laundering (AML), data protection (GDPR), and client due diligence
14. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and legal software systems
15. High attention to detail and a process-focused working style
16. Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
17. Organised, methodical, and collaborative mindset
Desirable:
18. Experience in a legal or regulated professional services environment
19. Working knowledge of SRA Codes of Conduct, Lexcel, or equivalent compliance standards
20. Confidence working with legal support teams and managing competing priorities
