The Headteacher and Governors of this successful school, which has an excellent reputation within the community of Golborne, are seeking to recruit a highly effective and passionate Pastoral Manager to join an enthusiastic, dedicated and hardworking team.
Pastoral and Welfare Manager
We are looking for:
* A highly skilled practitioner who can establish positive, respectful and trusting relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations;
* Someone who has an open and positive attitude, who values teamwork; has excellent interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour;
* To work alongside multi-agencies and the staff team to ensure the safety of our children is paramount;
* To promote and manage the safety and well-being of our pupils; to help them to overcome barriers inside and outside of school, in order to achieve well;
* To lead in monitoring attendance of all pupils and work alongside parents and other agencies productively and positively to identify and resolve barriers.
* To support our families, parents and children, providing necessary guidance and signposting as appropriate.
* To take a lead role in working alongside our staff team to monitor and implement the ‘Supporting Attendance Plan’, liaising with HR as and when appropriate;
* To lead on supporting our children and staff on building ‘Positive Relationships’ and creating a calm, positive environment within school, using restorative justice approaches when necessary;
* Promote self-esteem, independence and resilience amongst pupils;
* A willingness to contribute to all areas of school life.
