This role is part of the Mortgages CIO function within Customer Technology (CT), under the broader COO organization. The team is dedicated to delivering IT solutions that prioritize the needs of both customers and colleagues.
As an SDET, you will be instrumental in driving the quality and reliability of our software by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automated testing frameworks and tools, with a strong focus on API testing and ETL automation. Working closely with Software Engineers and Test Manager, you will integrate deeply into the development lifecycle, ensuring seamless support for our Integration and Migration Strategy from CI/CD perspective.
You will take ownership of implementing advanced test automation—including comprehensive API testing and robust ETL automation—that adhere to our architectural standards and delivery principles. Your expertise will help us uphold the highest quality standards while enabling continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
With mortgages primarily distributed via brokers through online and API channels, your work will be key to supporting smooth integrations and scalable growth as we expand our product offerings in the Home and Landlord markets.

What you’ll be doing
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API testing and ETL processes to ensure end-to-end coverage and data integrity.
Execute and monitor automated test suites regularly to validate software functionality and performance across integration and migration activities.
Collaborate closely with developers, quality leads, and technology teams to embed test automation early and throughout the software development lifecycle.
Identify, troubleshoot, and report defects found during automated and manual testing activities, working with development teams to resolve issues.
Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated tests to enable fast, reliable releases.
Perform performance testing on APIs and ETL workflows to validate scalability and responsiveness under various loads.
Maintain test environments and test data, ensuring they are up-to-date and reflective of production scenarios for accurate testing.
Contribute to the improvement of test automation frameworks by suggesting and implementing enhancements, including optimizing test coverage and execution speed.
Document test plans, test cases, and automation scripts clearly and maintain comprehensive test artifacts.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to provide testing insights and contribute to the agile delivery process.
Promote best practices in test automation and quality assurance across teams, supporting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stay updated with new testing tools, trends, and technologies, particularly in API and ETL testing domains, and share knowledge within the team.
About you

* Experience in Test management activities
* Experience in Selenium – API Testing, ETL Testing tools, Java
* Experience with large-scale, complex systems and integrations.
