Overview
Yorkshire Water is looking for an Operational CFS Team Leader to manage an on‑site team of front‑line field technicians in South Yorkshire. The role reports from the Blackburn Meadows depot and requires working 37 hours per week on an 07:00 to 20:00 rota, including weekends.
Responsibilities
* Lead, coach and motivate a team to deliver first‑time‑fix solutions to customers and environmental problems.
* Manage on‑site field resources, conduct procedural audits and handle operational incidents.
* Drive performance management, health & safety standards and regulatory targets.
* Ensure health and safety compliance, incident management and crisis response.
* Maintain commercial vehicles and resolve customer issues on the sewerage network.
* Implement cyclical maintenance programmes to support flooding and pollution prevention.
* Ensure all required documentation is completed within SLAs and manage line‑management responsibilities.
* Build relationships with key stakeholders and work with customer service teams.
Qualifications
* Experience leading people in a customer‑focus environment.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety Management, IOSH qualified or H&S trained.
* Ability to embed key performance measures on pollution and flooding.
* Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
* Experience in incident management and crisis response.
* Proficient with IT and Microsoft applications.
* Full UK driving licence (≤ 6 points) and a willingness to travel.
* Flexibility to participate in out‑of‑hours stand‑by rota.
* Knowledge of sewer networks, regulatory measures (Pollution, Flooding, SIM) and WWS network assets.
