Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of solicitors and legal professionals, driving performance, client satisfaction and profitability Oversee caseload allocation, risk management and compliance with professional standards Appoint supervisors and delegate responsibilities effectively across the team Mentor and supervise junior colleagues, ensuring adherence to best practices and professional obligations Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, providing strategic and commercially focused legal advice Contribute to departmental strategy, performance reviews, and business planning at a senior management level Champion knowledge sharing, webinars, and thought leadership initiatives within employment law Represent the department in business development, client presentations, and marketing campaigns Support team CPD, training and structured career development Manage complex and high-value employment matters, including sensitive disputes and negotiations Handle client complaints professionally and efficiently when required The Ideal Candidate Qualified Solicitor with extensive experience in employment law Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a legal team, with strong mentoring skills Excellent relationship management abilities, with experience engaging key stakeholders and clients Strategic business development mindset and a track record of identifying and winning new work Confidence in handling complex, high-value cases with a commercial and pragmatic approach Experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment law is preferred Why Apply?
