We have an excellent opportunity available for a Recovery Worker to join our Recovery College Team within the Adult Social Care and Integrated Mental Health service here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a Part-time, Permanent basis.

As the Recovery Worker, you will be responsible for welcoming new students to the service, supporting them to identify learning and support needs. Your role will be focused on facilitation of a variety of peer support groups and supporting the delivery of psychoeducational courses and workshops.

Working as part of the Recovery College team, you will share ideas and contribute to service design and development, using lived experience of mental health challenges to support students.

Key responsibilities:

1. Support students in terms of identifying their learning needs, helping with registration and selection of courses.
2. Facilitate peer support groups and psychoeducational workshops and courses.
3. Support the development of the Recovery College programme by engaging with coproduction activity.
4. Make use of wider community resources, keeping up to date with local service provisions for signposting.
5. Ensure that environments used for sessions are safe and accessible.

Candidate requirements:

6. Experience of engaging with co-production.
7. Ability to build relationships with service users.
8. Experience of peer support group facilitation.
9. Excellent IT and computer literacy skills.
10. Ability to prioritise and use own initiative.
