Duties: Assist the Campus Estates and Health & Safety Manager in providing an effective facilities and maintenance service. Deputise for the Campus Estates and Health & Safety Manager as required. Contribute to a safe, clean and well-maintained environment for staff, learners, customers and visitors to the College. Supervise and Cover onsite Estates staff and supervise contractors as required. Skills/Experience: Experience of maintenance and facilities operations Knowledge and understanding of health and safety Experience of managing and supervising other staff Experience of dealing with suppliers and service providersQualifications: GCSE Math's and English - Grade C and above IOSH Managing Safely Management or supervisory and Leadership skills qualification Facilities and/or maintenance trade qualification desirableIdeal Attributes: Ability to use initiative to solve problems and resolve issues Use of basic Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook etc. ) Ambition: challenging self; innovating; thinking beyond conventions and striving to achieve excellence in everything we do Professionalism: timely and punctual; take responsibility; well-organised; reliable and trustworthy; consistent; humility and care of self and others Resilience: withstand adversity; perseverance; and 'bounce back' Respect: Treat people with courtesy, politeness, and kindness.
