Choices Homecare are seeking compassionate Domiciliary Care Workers for our locations across the Wakefield region. Working Hours & Contract
Working days are 7 days a week between 07:00 – 22:00. We welcome both full‑time and part‑time applicants. Working hours are broken down into morning (07:00–15:00), teas and beds (15:00–22:00), full days or weekends only. Flexible zero‑hour contracts are offered, allowing you to choose how many hours you would like to work. The role is paid for care delivery time only, with mileage between calls reimbursed at 30p per mile. This is not a block‑pay position.
Location: Wakefield.
Key Responsibilities
* Support individuals with personal care needs such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
* Assist with medication administration and documentation in line with care plans.
* Prepare meals and assist with eating and drinking where required.
* Promote independence and encourage service users to engage in daily living tasks.
* Build positive relationships with individuals and their families.
* Support emotional well‑being and recognise signs of distress or changes in behaviour.
* Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
* Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in the home.
* Respect confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries.

* Experience preferred but not essential – full training provided.
* UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (30p per mile fuel allowance).

Additional Requirements
You’ll need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. As you will be travelling between clients, you must also provide proof of car insurance during the recruitment process.
