Description
As a HSEQ Compliance Auditor, you will be part of a central HSEQ Team with responsibility for one of our contracts, reporting to the contract’s HSEQ Lead. Your role involves promoting compliance throughout the business, escalating issues identified, ensuring employees are aware of raised issues, and supporting document control and system compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Review risk assessments and conduct site audits to ensure safety policies and procedures are followed across contract sites.
* Coach and support staff on HSEQ policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
* Generate detailed reports summarising audit findings, compliance levels, risks, and recommendations.
* Liaise with external auditors, clients, and regulatory bodies to address non-conformities.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on health and safety performance and best practices.
* Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a proactive HSEQ culture.
* Advise the leadership team on HSEQ matters, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with business objectives.
* Provide weekly HSEQ compliance reports, highlighting trends, KPIs, incident rates, non-compliance issues, and corrective actions.
* Monitor compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations, including CDM Regulations, Permit to Work systems, etc.
* Identify and escalate non-conformances and potential impacts.
* Support the preparation of comprehensive contract and management reports.
Experience and Qualifications
* Experience as an HSEQ Auditor or in a similar role.
* HSEQ qualification such as NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent).
* Full UK Driving Licence.
