Main Duties of the Role Managing night shift processes ensuring all team members adhere to standard operating procedures. Training, directing the work of, resolve issues/problems and coach and counsel the front desk team members to ensure a quality operation. Managing the operations of the front desk to ensure an optimal level of service and hospitality is provided to the guests. Taking responsibility in the absence of the General Manager/ Deputy General Manager As a manager you will be a role model, sharing your expertise and continually inspiring the front office team. Welcoming guests and checking their details against their bookings Allocating guests their rooms and providing keys Answering phones from prospective customers and guests, taking messages and delivering them Completing administrative tasks such as account reconciliation/ night audit Responding to requests for help and information Providing concierge services, such as booking theatre tickets. arranging travel and providing information about local amenities and attractions Preparing room bills and ensuring prompt payments Checking guests out, taking payments and returning deposits Closely liaising with other departments Requirements Previous experience in a similar role Problem-solving abilities Complaint handling Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent customer service skills Flexibility and the ability to respond appropriately to changing situations Discretion and sensitivity The ability to maintain professional standards under pressure Strong IT skills and knowledge of booking systems and software Excellent administration and organisational skills
