We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team as a Senior Sales Manager. The role is based in London, with regular UK domestic travel to meet with clients.
The role holder will manage a diverse portfolio of institutional clients, including Insurance companies, Asset Managers, Financial Sponsors, and Hedge Funds. This portfolio will include inbound clients into the UK and UK-headquartered clients requiring services domestically and/or across HSBC’s global network.
Responsibilities include:
1. Partnering as a trusted advisor, maintaining and developing a portfolio of Insurance and Investor clients, understanding their business and sector, and aligning cash management solutions across HSBC’s network.
2. Coordinating with HSBC teams across markets and functions to develop solutions and deliver sales proposals.
3. Conducting client analysis to identify and develop business opportunities and pipeline.
4. Developing business plans and strategies in collaboration with Corporate and Institutional Banking Coverage.
5. Achieving financial and non-financial targets, focusing on new sales revenue, client retention, and growth.
6. Working with GPS Product, Liquidity, Client Implementation, and Integration teams to ensure smooth deal transitions and revenue realization.
7. Advising clients on market developments, trends, and regulatory changes that could present opportunities or risks.
8. Maintaining sales records to track performance.
9. Representing HSBC at conferences, industry events, and assisting with case studies and press articles.
Minimum requirements:
1. Extensive experience in providing global cash management services, with knowledge of the payments landscape, trends, and regulations.
2. Experience managing complex clients and deals across multiple countries.
3. Knowledge of Treasury and Finance Operations.
4. Deep understanding of cash management solutions, including payments, receivables, e-channels, reporting, reconciliation, and liquidity management.
5. A proven sales record with successful large/complex transactions.
6. Motivated, achievement-driven, with strategic sales planning skills and the ability to work under KPIs.
7. Strong communication skills at all management levels within HSBC and client organizations.
