Joining us for 12 months as a trainee means you will become part of one of the strongest banks in the world with one of the largest international networks. We strive to recruit and develop the best people at all levels, and are offering a one year placement within our Securities Services business to those seeking to enter the financial services sector.

The programme offers an excellent opportunity to gain hand's on experience and will give you the chance to experience a full-time role in one of our business lines or functional areas. From the outset, you will be contributing to the output of your team, taking responsibility and working with leading professionals.

BUSINESS AREA

Securities Services is a leading global custodian and securities services specialist that provides multi-asset post-trade and asset servicing solutions for buy and sell-side market participants, corporates and issuers.

The Department provides such functions for a range of fund types including Investment Trust, UK Open Ended Investment Companies, Unit Trusts, UK administered Luxembourg SICAVs and life & pension funds.

The Transformation and Governance team are the gatekeepers of the governance and control framework for the department and are responsible for ensuring all risk documentation is maintained in line with internal procedures. THE ROLE

The trainee will support oversight and governance tasks including production of MI and meeting decks.

They will also support the department in a new initiative to migrate all control evidence to a dedicated digital tool, including data uploads and parallel testing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The core accountabilities of the role will evolve as experience grows. Training will be provided for all tasks and it is anticipated that the trainee will take responsibility for part of the task, with full support from the wider team. Gradually the trainee will begin to take full ownership of some tasks. There will also be opportunities to suggest and implement ways to improve each process.

Core accountabilities of the role will include:

Produce documentation and process flows to outline the control framework within the department

Retrieve and collate sample information for internal and external auditors
