About the Role
A national services organisation is seeking to appoint a Group M&E Surveyor to oversee the condition, performance, and development of its portfolio's M&E installations. This is a pivotal estates role, responsible for capital works, refurbishments, and compliance, while also supporting operational teams to maintain safe, efficient, and commercially effective environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and update M&E condition surveys, building capital investment plans to ensure long-term compliance and asset performance.
* Oversee compliance with statutory requirements, including fire safety, water risk, building regulations, planning, and landlord obligations.
* Deliver a broad range of M&E projects, from small works to major refurbishments, ensuring cost, time, and regulatory standards are met.
* Collaborate with building surveyors, property teams, and operations to provide M&E input into wider estates projects.
* Supervise minor works and property managers, ensuring consistent standards and value for money.
* Provide strategic insight into investment priorities, supporting efficiency improvements and operational savings.
About You
* Qualified M&E surveyor, ideally with a background in project delivery.
* Experience working in complex, multi-site environments (regulated sectors such as healthcare, education, or housing preferred).
* Strong knowledge of compliance and statutory requirements, alongside financial planning and cost control skills.
* Proven ability to deliver projects from origination through to completion, including contractor and professional team management.
* Flexible and pragmatic, with the ability to travel extensively across the UK; Midlands base desirable.
