Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be supporting our client in the search for a Design Engineer. This role offers the chance to be involved in a variety of product development tasks in a design-led setting, where your contributions will be visible and valued.
You’ll be working as part of a small, experienced team, using SolidWorks and in-house 3D printing tools to develop new product concepts and solutions. This is a practical role suited to someone who enjoys seeing designs progress from early ideas to working prototypes.
The Opportunity:
As a Design Engineer you’ll play a key role in:
Creating 3D CAD models using SolidWorks with a focus on usability and manufacturability
Collaborating with customers to understand their requirements and deliver tailored product solutions
Using 3D printing to support early-stage concept development and testing
Preparing technical drawings, specification sheets and documentation for manufacturing
Contributing to improvements in the design and engineering process
Your work will support the development and delivery of practical, well-designed products that meet client needs.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who can bring:
Experience using SolidWorks in a product design or engineering environment
Strong 3D CAD skills with attention to both design and detail
Confidence preparing technical documentation such as BOMs and specification sheets
A practical approach and the ability to work on hands-on design tasks
Good communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively with others
