Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. This role requires strong culinary skills, effective team management, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supervising kitchen staff, coordinating food production, and maintaining a positive and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

* Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high-quality standards.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices within the kitchen.
* Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and operational protocols.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
* Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
* Help maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food production techniques.
* Excellent team management abilities with experience in supervising kitchen staff.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen.
* Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
* Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with other kitchen staff and management.
