Petroineos Refining and Trading is one of the largest independent refiners trading in Europe. We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Development Projects TAR team at our Grangemouth site on a full-time temporary basis.
As the Project Manager, you will be required to develop and deliver agreed engineering projects to meet HSE, schedule, cost, and technical performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver the implementation phase of projects to achieve HSE goals and sanctioned cost, time, and technical performance commitments.
2. Deliver project execution plans, which meet business objectives and agreed processes for design, contract management, purchasing, construction, and commissioning.
3. Develop project scopes and specifications, which satisfy defined engineering standards.
4. Develop project scope, cost estimate, and schedule for every project prior to full sanction.
5. Implement defined project controls to deliver management information necessary to achieve sanctioned cost and schedule commitments. Interface with, and support, project studies to deliver robust scope, cost estimates, schedules, and execution plans.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Manage a project portfolio which may comprise several concurrent projects on the site.
2. Interface effectively with managers on site.
3. Identify and manage interfaces within the Project team, including engineering contractor teams.
4. Coordinate with the construction, cost & estimating, planning, purchasing, and development teams.
5. Identify and manage interfaces with Operational and Engineering teams to secure support for project implementation.
6. Manage uncertainty within each project and understand change control processes.
7. Make good decisions within your area of expertise.
8. Operate as a company representative at contractor and vendor offices.
Education/Experience:
* Degree (preferably Chartered) qualified or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline.
* Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience working in a project environment.
* Good knowledge of project gated processes.
* Experience with NEC3 Contracts.
* Knowledge of construction and commissioning.
* Understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
* Familiarity with the site Plant Modification Process and associated documentation management systems.
