Are you an Assistant Project Manager within Highways looking for a new challenge?
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Manager with experience in highways and transport to join a busy client in Cambridgeshire. This is a full-time contract position. The rate on offer is negotiable for the right candidate, dependant on level of experience. Flexible working arrangements are available.
Role Requirements
* Provide leadership support within the Project Delivery Highways Service team to ensure the effective delivery of projects that improve the transport infrastructure network.
* Provide advice on highway engineering, project and programme management, procurement, community engagement and delivery of the improvements of the transport infrastructure network.
* Provide and prepare detailed technical reports in a timely and efficient manner ensuring at all times clarity, engagement with stakeholders, and clear requirements of project details, timings and delivery requirements.
* Direct, guide and manage project delivery to ensure that objectives are delivered for the project to a high quality, forecast delivery times and budget targets.
* Lead on key aspects of project expertise within the Project Delivery Highways Service.
* Service commissioned projects in order to ensure the highest level of knowledge, experience and expertise are used in resolving issues and enquiries.
Experience Required
* Must have experience delivering capital projects and understand the project lifecycle of low-medium complexity highway improvement projects.
* Must have at least 3 years experience working in Highways & Transport in a similar role.
* Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle for site visits.
