The role
As a Control, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of delivering large-scale, process-engineering projects for global customers. This is your chance to work on cutting-edge marine cargo handling and fuel gas systems that power the transportation and storage of liquefied gas – a role that combines technical challenge with real-world impact.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
1. Prepare calculations, data sheets, specifications, schedules, and drawings for CI&E systems.
2. Design and review control panels, schematics, and hazardous/safe area plans.
3. Develop control system architecture and integrate communication links with third-party equipment.
4. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to meet project objectives and deadlines.
5. Ensure compliance with IEC ATEX standards and other relevant regulations.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week. This role is a hybrid role with 2 days onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Control, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer:
6. Proven experience in Control, Instrumentation, and Electrical engineering within project or design roles.
7. Strong background in PLC and HMI programming.
8. Familiarity with Siemens, Allen Bradley, or GE IP PLC hardware/software.
9. Experience in E&I control panel layout and design.
10. Knowledge of IEC ATEX standards (CompEx training desirable).
Qualifications for the Control, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer:
11. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (Chartered or working towards accreditation preferred).
12. Competency across at least two of the three technical disciplines: Control, Instrumentation, Electrical.
