We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to join our Primary Care team at Derwentside IRC, a female-only facility for 84 women, based in the north of England.
This role is 16 hours - 2 shifts per week.

Hours: 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday
Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK, and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job
* Work within a multi-disciplinary team carrying out assessments, care plans, and developing treatment options
* Undertake medication rounds and assess/treat patients, including those who have experienced trauma
* Assess patients' health needs using evidence-based frameworks and conduct risk assessments
* Provide advice, support, and manage a caseload of patients
* Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference
* Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and liaise with prescribers as required
* Build strong links with partners and stakeholders
* Promote best practice, clinical supervision, and evidence-based care
* Share knowledge and skills within the team

Qualifications required
* Qualified Mental Health Nurse - NMC registration
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Experience working face-to-face with patients with complex mental health conditions
* Experience with psychosocial interventions, group work, and substance misuse awareness
Experience in hospital, community, or prison settings is desirable but not essential.
