Job Description Job title: Commercial Account Handler Salary: £45,000 Location: East Midlands Other: On site parking within easy reach of a train station and other good transport links Overview We are seeking a skilled Commercial Account Handler to join our client's dynamic team. As a Commercial Account Handler, you will be responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial clients, providing them with exceptional support and guidance. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and have a strong understanding of commercial insurance. Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, understanding their unique insurance needs and providing appropriate solutions Handle the day-to-day servicing of client accounts, including policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals Collaborate with the account executive to prepare and present client proposals and insurance programs Stay up-to-date with industry trends, insurance products, and regulations to provide informed advice to clients Assist in the negotiation of terms and conditions with insurance carriers to obtain the best coverage for clients Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions and transactions in the agency management system Qualifications Proven experience in commercial account handling and operations within an insurance brokerage or agency Minimum 5 GCSE, Grades A-C including English and Maths. Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and underwriting processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively within a team Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities Proficiency in agency management software and Microsoft Office suite Relevant insurance certifications such as Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) or Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) are a plus Day-to-Day Communicate with clients to understand their insurance needs and provide expert advice Process client requests for policy changes, endorsements, and certificates of insurance Collaborate with account executives to prepare comprehensive insurance proposals Liaise with insurance carriers to obtain quotes and negotiate terms on behalf of clients Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the agency management system Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to better serve clients If you have the relevant experience or know someone that does please contact us now on 07458 162853 or email us at admin@lawesgroup.co.uk
