An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mammographer to join the team at the Parapet Breast Unit, Windsor, part of Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality imaging services within both the NHS Breast Screening Programme and the symptomatic service.
The Parapet Breast Unit is based at King Edward VII Hospital, Windsor, and is fully equipped with the latest digital mammography and ultrasound systems, as well as two mobile screening units.
We are seeking a dedicated professional with strong mammography skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing patient-focused care. You will work closely within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Training and Development
Candidates without a Postgraduate Certificate (PGC) in Mammography but who meet other requirements may be appointed at Band 5.
Upon successful completion of the PGC in Mammography, the role will progress to Band 6.

Main duties of the job
PURPOSE OF JOB:
* To produce high quality mammographic images, perform other mammographic procedures and assist with ultrasound examinations in accordance with accepted practice and protocols within the Parapet Department.
* To assist with caring for specialist equipment and performing quality tests.
* To input accurate patient data into the Radiology Information System and National Breast Screening System in a timely manner.

Person Specification
Qualification
* HCPC Registered Diagnostic Radiographer
* Post-Graduate Qualification in Mammography
* Candidate has some experience in mammography no PGC training will be given
Experience
* Performing a high standard of Mammography
* Experience of assisting with interventional breast procedures
* Previous National Breast Screening experience.
* Experience of mentoring Trainee Mammographers.
Skills & Knowledge
* Independently co-ordinate, manage and monitor own work lists.
* Communicate with a wide range of people.
* Plan and organise as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Knowledge of the National Breast Screening Programme quality aims and objectives.
