It is an executive-level technical product ownership role in which you will define the architecture, technical strategy, and AI integration across our entire learning platform. What You Will Be Doing
* Building and demonstrating comprehensive education product expertise to inform high-level strategic choices
* Authoring technical specifications that resolve critical technical decisions and emphasize simplicity, efficiency, and sustainable scalability
* Deploying generative AI capabilities to automate and optimize engineering workflows, in line with our strategic goal of minimizing manual effort
What You Won’t Be Doing
* Serving primarily as a people manager; your technical and business judgment will be central to your impact
* Spending time on meetings, committees, or administrative overhead; we have automated management tasks so you can concentrate on delivering tangible business value through execution
* Creating abstract strategies without actionable implementation paths; your guidance must be grounded in product-level insight
Director Of Product Architecture Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the CTO for one or more education products, owning core capabilities and generating business value through flawless execution and strategic leadership
Basic Requirements
* Substantial experience or demonstrable interest in data-driven learning science
* 7+ years of experience making critical architecture and design decisions on software projects, including the application of architecture design patterns or major open source technologies
* 2+ years of experience making design decisions that involve cloud computing services (primarily AWS)
* 4+ years of experience in roles with complete technical and delivery ownership of a revenue-generating product
* Experience developing product features that leverage advanced Generative AI capabilities
* Experience applying Generative AI to streamline and simplify work processes

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
