About the Role
This is a leadership role within a well-established R&D function, offering the opportunity to shape product development strategy while remaining close to hands-on formulation and technical problem-solving.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of 5 direct reports + 1 indirect
* Drive formulation development and oversee complex R&D projects
* Align technical programmes with business objectives and commercial priorities
* Manage project pipelines from concept through to product commercialisation
* Engage with internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners
* Oversee budgets, timelines, and technical risk across multiple projects
* Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and best laboratory practices
Qualifications
* Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Required Skills
* Proven team management / leadership experience
* Strong background in chemical formulation within an R&D environment
* Track record of delivering projects from development to commercialisation
