The role
Ferrovial Construction seeks Health and Safety Graduates to assist on the Heathrow Airport Project. The 3-year graduate development program aims to develop personal, professional, and technical skills through a blended approach, working under the supervision of Health and Safety Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to achieving Health and Safety standards in line with company policy.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement across site teams.
* Support in writing and reviewing Health and Safety documentation.
* Develop briefing and communication strategies to ensure understanding of Health and Safety plans.
* Monitor compliance of construction works with legislation, standards, and policies.
* Assist in preparing Health and Safety reports for senior management.
* Support investigations and audits by gathering evidence.
* Advise on Health and Safety requirements and best practices.
* Prepare and present toolbox talks, site briefings, and inductions.
* Promote wellbeing and mental health initiatives.
* Help develop measurement systems to monitor Health and Safety performance.
* Coordinate training courses and maintain training records.
* Ensure customer requirements are prioritized.
* Adhere to and promote Ferrovial’s values and safe working practices.
* Explore innovative practices to improve HS&W.
Skills and Competence
We are looking for graduates with:
* Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at various levels.
* Strong written and oral English skills.
* Degree or Master’s in any discipline.
* Motivated to learn and add value.
* Team player with proactive approach.
* Observation skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
* Hazard identification and risk management skills.
Interpersonal Skills:

Desirable
* Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.
* Health and Safety experience.
* CSCS Card.
Essential
* Legal right to work in the UK from September 2024 for the duration of the program.
