Overview
Our client, located in Bromley, is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to take ownership of the kitchen franchise at this busy venue. This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your skills and passion within Hospitality/Catering to build a successful small business with the full support of venue management.
The venue currently has 1,600 members using its amenities and additional functions including holidays, wakes, weddings, parties, and dinners. The franchisee will operate within agreed opening hours and receive management support to maximise the franchise’s potential.
Responsibilities
* Take ownership of the kitchen franchise at the venue and manage day-to-day operations.
* Provide an excellent variety of menu options for adults and children.
* Maintain excellent customer-facing service and strong administrative skills (computer literate).
* Manage stock control and minimise waste; take responsibility for additional staff when required.
* Understand and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and allergen awareness.
* Coordinate external events catered by the franchisee’s existing business or develop new opportunities; venue will take a percentage of income.
* Ensure cleaning of the kitchen and equipment, including ovens; participate in planning and supervision of cleaning where applicable.
* The venue will contribute 50% to an annual deep cleaning of the kitchen and oven (to be performed by an external recognised company).
Financials
* The franchisee pays the venue 10% plus VAT, with a total turnover percentage of 12%.
* The venue handles payment for food and pays the caterer on a weekly basis.
Candidate Criteria
* Experience within the catering industry.
* Passionate about food and running a small business.
* Ability to provide a broad menu for adults and children.
* Excellent customer-facing skills.
* Computer literate with strong administrative skills.
* Reliable, flexible, with excellent time management.
* Understanding of stock control and waste reduction.
* Ability to manage additional staff when required.
* Understanding and compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
* Strong understanding of allergens.
