Senior Family Help Worker
As a Senior Family Help Worker, you will provide leadership and guidance to Family Help Workers on a daily basis, ensuring timely, high‑quality, evidence‑based interventions that build resilience and prevent needs from escalating. You will offer regular supervision, mentoring, and opportunities for professional development, while working closely with social work teams, schools, health services and community partners to deliver a coordinated and effective approach to supporting families. The role is full‑time, permanent, and requires you to work from offices, being accessible to support staff, with some home working available depending on service needs and location.
Responsibilities
Lead, support and inspire frontline Family Help Workers as they deliver vital services to children and families. Maintain a coordinated approach, manage risk and provide professional development and mentorship.
Qualifications and Experience
* Professional qualification in youth work (JNC Recognised) or Social Work.
* Diploma/Qualification in Careers Guidance or Level 4 in Guidance.
* Diploma or equivalent Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject for working with children, young people and families.
* Two years post‑qualification experience.
* Experience in people management, supporting, guiding and mentoring others.
* Knowledge/understanding of child development, adolescent risk‑taking behaviour and trauma‑informed approaches.
* Collaboration, commitment, and motivation – a leader who enjoys working with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
Other Requirements
The post holder will need to travel and work flexibly to meet the demands of the role. They will demonstrate a strong commitment to their own ongoing professional development and actively contribute to wider practice improvement.

Positions and Locations
* 1 permanent – North Kesteven, based in Birchwood.
* 1 Fixed‑Term contract/secondment (12 months maternity leave cover) – North Kesteven, Birchwood.
* 2 permanent – Lincoln & West Lindsey (St Giles and Gainsborough).
* 1 Fixed‑Term contract/secondment (12 months from 26 July to cover maternity leave) – Boston.
* 1 Fixed‑Term contract/secondment (12 months to cover maternity leave) – East Lindsey, Louth/Horncastle.
Visa and Sponsorship
Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements of RQF Level 6.
