As a Multi Skilled Services Engineer, at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, you’ll be a vital part of our on-site team, delivering safe, effective, and customer-focused Hard FM services in a healthcare environment that truly matters. You’ll carry out maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems and general building services, ensuring our hospital remains a safe, efficient, and welcoming place for patients, staff, and visitors. What You’ll Do: Planned and reactive maintenance across HVAC, air conditioning, chillers, boilers, plumbing, and more Collaborating with your team to meet service level agreements and ensure compliance with best practices Engaging with colleagues and visitors with courtesy and professionalism Providing technical expertise, supporting apprentices, and driving continuous improvement in our systems Working with minimal supervision while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality What You Bring: A time-served engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical & electrical building services NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, plus understanding of water regulations and heating systems Strong multi-skilled ability across mechanical, electrical, and building fabric A customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills A flexible, collaborative mindset, ready to work within a shift and on-call rota Knowledge of H&S, statutory compliance, and a passion for continuous learning Desirable but not essential: HNC/HND or equivalent in engineering or building services Experience in healthcare environments Familiarity with Health Technical Memorandums (HTMs) Proficiency in using digital tools such as PDAs What we offer: Working at Sodexo isn’t just a job — it’s a chance to make a difference every day.
