The Role
Join our dynamic Mars Petcare factory team, where youll play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing specialized production equipment with a strong electrical bias. This position is ideal for individuals with electrical engineering skills and a passion for continuous improvement and collaborative problem‑solving.
Shift Pattern (12‑hour rotation, 7–7)
* Week 1: 2 days, 2 nights, 5 off
* Week 2: 2 days, 3 nights, 4 off
* Week 3: 3 days, 2 nights, 5 off
* Then repeat

What Were Looking For
* Solid foundation in engineering (recognised apprenticeship)
* HNC level in an electrical engineering discipline and sound mechanical aptitude
* Proven working knowledge of 415 V distribution, motor control, PLC software, process control philosophies, level‑2 systems & networks (pneumatics & hydraulics an advantage)
* Understanding of a broad range of electromechanical devices
* Reasonable working knowledge of H&S regulations
* Computer literate and comfortable navigating Atlas PM, SAP and Microsoft packages
Key Responsibilities
* Perform fault diagnosis and resolve random failures on production machinery, identifying root causes
* Determine when and which technical issues are escalated to the day’s support organisation
* Provide technical experience, expertise and information to assist others in resolving equipment issues
* Ensure safe and required delivery of all services (steam, air, water, gas, electricity) into and out of the factory during shift
* Plan maintenance activities for self and others to achieve smooth transition between maintenance and production availability
* Work with the area engineer to ensure planned preventative maintenance is completed

Apprentice Engineering Technician
This is a fully remote, paid apprenticeship designed to provide comprehensive training and hands‑on experience in a dynamic engineering environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals, learn cutting‑edge techniques and contribute to exciting projects. The programme is ideal for those passionate about engineering with strong problem‑solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist senior engineers in diagnosing and resolving technical issues
* Learn to operate and maintain engineering equipment and machinery remotely
* Support the development and testing of new engineering prototypes
* Conduct research and gather data for engineering projects
* Prepare technical documentation and reports under supervision

Senior QA Technician – Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK
This role is critical in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation across a variety of commercial and industrial sites. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cleaning methodologies, quality control processes, and health and safety regulations within the cleaning industry.
Responsibilities
* Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to assess cleaning standards and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs)
* Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and checklists for cleaning and sanitation services
* Train cleaning staff on best practices, proper use of equipment and chemicals, and adherence to health and safety procedures
* Identify areas for improvement in cleaning processes and recommend corrective actions
* Document inspection findings, report on quality metrics and track the implementation of corrective actions
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental and industry‑specific regulations
* Investigate customer complaints related to cleaning quality and provide timely resolutions
* Manage and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment ensuring proper usage and storage
* Collaborate with operations managers and site supervisors to address quality concerns and implement training programs

* Excellent observational skills and a keen eye for detail

This role is crucial for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation across a portfolio of commercial and industrial sites. The successful candidate will develop, implement and monitor comprehensive quality assurance programmes and conduct regular inspections.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement and manage site‑specific quality assurance plans for cleaning and sanitation services
* Conduct regular, thorough inspections and audits of facilities to ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards
* Document inspection findings, identify non‑compliance issues and recommend corrective actions
