We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled waiting staff to join our team and deliver outstanding service in a vibrant, customer-focused environment.
Role Overview:
As a member of our waiting staff, you will play an essential role in ensuring that our guests enjoy a delightful and memorable dining experience. Your main duties will include serving food and drinks, assisting guests with menu selections, and providing attentive, efficient service throughout their visit. We're looking for people with a passion for food, drink, and hospitality, who have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. We are looking for staff who are professional, polite and have past experience in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
* Present the menu to guests, providing recommendations for both food and drinks, with an emphasis on pairing tapas with wines or cocktails.
* Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly.
* Ensure orders are delivered to the correct table in a timely and efficient manner.
* Monitor the guest experience throughout the meal, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any issues promptly.
* Maintain knowledge of the full menu, including specials and drinks, and be able to answer any questions about ingredients, preparation, and allergens.
* Set and clear tables, ensuring a clean and welcoming dining environment at all times.
* Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
* Assist with opening and closing duties, such as setting up or cleaning down the dining area.
* Handle cash and card transactions accurately, following our restaurant's procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Previous waiting experience in a busy, high-volume environment, preferably in a tapas or cocktail bar.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you should be able to engage with guests and work effectively within a team.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and during busy periods.
* A positive, professional, and approachable attitude.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Preferred (but not essential):
* Familiarity with wine and cocktail pairings to help guide customers' drink choices.
* Knowledge of food allergies and dietary requirements to assist guests with special needs.
