⢠To learn, understand and assist in our daily engineering operation\n⢠Assist with ensuring our aircraft maintain is the highest level of reliability\n⢠Maintain all our aircraft to an approved maintenance schedule\n⢠Carry out routine servicing of all BA aircraft\n⢠Assist with any fault rectification, repairs or modifications on customer aircraft\n⢠Performance of any duties consistent with role as and when required to help department meet their objectives\n⢠Follow our safety procedure and processes\n⢠Deepen experience, skills, knowledge and behaviours for the role\nthrough on-the-job learning and completing the required formal qualifications\n⢠Manage own time effectively in order to meet all requirements of role\n⢠Ensure Health, Safety and Security standards are adhered to including completing of appropriate documentation.\n⢠Being an ambassador for British Airways Apprenticeships by taking\npart in external and internal events and student engagement activity\n The initial induction will take place at our Glasgow base.\nFor the first 2 years, your time will be split between gaining the required academic qualification PEO2 at Glasgow Clyde college (Anniesland campus) and CAA Licence Modules at our own training facility.\nDuring college holidays you will be working alongside fully qualified engineers within the hangar. For the remainder of the apprenticeship, you will work alongside our engineers full-time and continue studying towards achieving a Level 3 Aircraft Engineering qualification (SVQ Level 3) by gaining on the job experience.\n Must hold or be predicted to obtain five National 5's at Grades A-C or equivalent which must include English, any science subject and\nMaths. Some qualifications may certify you as overqualified to apply, \n\nYou are ineligible for the Apprenticeship if you hold, or are due to achieve, any of the following qualifications (please look out for experienced Engineer roles on our team instead).\nâ¢\tA C&G / SVQ level 3 qualification in Aircraft Maintenance.\nâ¢\tAn HNC/HND or degree in Engineering.\nâ¢\tAny CAA Part 66 A or B license modules.\n
