Job Summary
The role involves supporting and maintaining customer accounts managed by the Account Director, including handling customer engagements to maximize sales and satisfaction. You will liaise with internal departments, vendors, suppliers, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Providing quotations for standard and non-standard products
2. Placing orders using sales tools
3. Managing Outlook mailboxes
4. Addressing initial customer queries or issues
5. Handling product returns and information
6. Reporting on back orders and customer requirements
7. Updating product and price changes in ServiceTrack
8. Working with vendors and partners to develop opportunities
9. Collaborating with internal departments like Customer Services, Credit, and Purchasing
10. Maintaining product knowledge as defined by the Account Director
11. Understanding vendor promotions and bid processes
12. Assisting with holiday cover and co-worker training
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
1. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Web Browser; accurate keyboard skills
2. Understanding of accurate reporting and IT sales channels
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
4. Experience with internal tools like Microsoft Navision and CRM
5. Experience in a commercial environment preferred
6. Previous administrative experience preferred
7. Knowledge of industry products and services preferred
