Manpower Recruitment are looking for a Full Time Permanent, Junior Sous Chef in an established restaurant based in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.
This is a Full-Time role, working 5/7 days and would need flexibility to work Weekends, Evenings and Mornings
The role is paying up to £36000pa depending on experience + tips
*Live in option available for a fee
*Must drive or live local, due to location
1. Split Shifts required between shifts as mixture of splits and straights.
2. Kitchen is operational between 10am-10pm
3. Car parking close to Restaurant
Overall Objective:
The Role
4. Preparing meals for restaurant and functions using seasonal produce and products
5. Running service in Head Chef's absence
6. Manage kitchen operation, including health & safety, hygiene
The Person
7. Already a Chef looking for a new challenge in a busy restaurant
8. Experience of working with fresh food to a high standard
9. Capable and able to work unsupervised
10. Flexibility in working hours.
Skills and experience that we are looking for are as follows
11. Excellent time keeping
12. Practical kitchen skills i.e. able to demonstrate knowledge and experience using tools such as kitchen knives and machinery
13. Good food knowledge and a desire to give your best to every dish
14. Good communication skills when liaising with staff members as well as customers and external contractors
15. A keen eye for organisation and cleanliness
16. At least 2 years' experience within a fast paced, professional kitchen
