Role Information
The school is seeking a dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking DT Department. You will teach DT across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities for an experienced teacher.
The role involves delivering a broad curriculum including design processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques. You will guide students through practical coursework and exam preparation, supporting them to develop creativity, technical skills, and independent thinking.
You will contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and the safe management of workshops, as well as supporting enrichment activities such as STEM projects and competitions.
Requirements
• QTS and a degree in Design & Technology or a related subject
• Experience teaching DT at secondary level
• Strong practical and workshop management skills
• Knowledge of GCSE specifications (A Level desirable)
• Commitment to high standards of safety and learning
