Are you a passionate sports coach in Stoke-on-Trent looking to step into a rewarding role in education? ABC Teachers are currently recruiting Sports Coaches to work as PE Cover Supervisors across secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas.
About The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in sports coaching, physical education, or youth leadership who are looking to gain experience in schools and make a positive impact on students' physical development and engagement in PE lessons.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver pre-set PE lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher
* Supervise and manage student behaviour in PE and classroom settings
* Encourage student participation and maintain a positive learning environment
* Support students in developing physical skills and teamwork
* Liaise with teaching staff and contribute to the school’s ethos

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Sports Coach you will:
* A strong sports background (e.g., coaching qualifications, degree in sports science/PE, or experience in youth sports)
* Previous experience working with young people (ages 11–16 preferred)
* Excellent communication, leadership, and behaviour management skills
* Flexibility and adaptability across a range of school environments
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply) and Right to work in the UK
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
* Previous experience working with young people (ages 11–16 preferred)
