Job Description
The Trend and Change Manager ensures the effective governance, coordination, and implementation of change across the project, maintaining alignment with strategic objectives, scope, schedule, and budget baselines. The role holder will work collaboratively with delivery, commercial, finance, and technical teams to ensure a robust and transparent change control process is embedded across the project lifecycle.
Day to day duties:
1. Lead the implementation, and continuous improvement of the Project wide Change Management strategy, policies, and procedures.
2. Oversee the execution of the Change Management Plan, ensuring alignment with project objectives and industry best practices.
3. Maintain configuration control of the Projects scope, schedule, and budget baselines, ensuring traceability and integrity of changes.
4. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of change impacts to senior leadership, including implications for cost, schedule, risk, and benefits.
5. Chair or support relevant governance forums for change approval and assurance, ensuring appropriate stakeholder engagement and decision-making.
6. Collaborate with Commercial, Procurement, Engineering, Risk, and Delivery teams to ensure integrated assessment and management of change proposals.
7. Lead the development and maintenance of the Project change register and associated reporting tools.
8. Provide subject matter expertise and assurance on change-related matters to internal and external stakeholders.
9. Support the delivery of major Project re-baselining exercises, including bottom-up estimates and configuration reviews.
Qualifications
10. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Finance, or a related field.
11. Professional accreditation (, AACE, RICS) is desirable.
12. Change management, project controls, or project delivery experience within large-scale infrastructure or capital projects.
13. Proven track record of change management in complex, multi-disciplinary environments.
14. Experience working in client-side roles and managing interfaces with contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
15. Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic outcomes in high-pressure environments.
16. Deep understanding of change control principles, methodologies, and tools within major infrastructure Projects
17. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex change impacts across multiple dimensions.
18. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
