Overview: We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team at Blue Sky Services for The Forward Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our social enterprise that empowers people to break cycles of crime and addiction and build positive lives. About The Forward Trust: We believe in lasting change and offer services that help thousands of individuals improve their lives. Our services include operating Blue Sky Services, a grounds maintenance social enterprise within our Employment Services Division.
About Blue Sky Services: We deliver grounds maintenance, facilities management, and horticultural services for local authorities, social landlords, and partners. We employ individuals with lived experience, including ex-offenders, those in recovery, and the unemployed, all under Forward Trust terms.
What You Will Be Doing:
* Working outdoors in open spaces, assisting team members with various tasks.
* Carrying out operations related to ground maintenance, house clearance, pest control, waste management, and car park maintenance.
* Operating equipment such as strimmers, mowers, hedge cutters, etc., with proper training and supervision.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety, equality, safeguarding, and incident reporting protocols.
What We Are Looking For:
* Interest in outdoor work, environment, and teamwork.
* Enjoyment of manual work in different weather conditions.
* Ability to start early (around 7:30 am) and finish by 3:30 pm.
* Reliable and punctual attendance at our Denham offices.

Person Specification:
* Essential: Ability to perform all duties, including manual handling, team working, and administrative tasks like safety reporting. Awareness of health and safety regulations, PPE, and flexible to work unsociable hours if needed.
* Desirable: Full UK Driving Licence including 3.5-ton capacity.
