At Aberdeen Carer Support Service, our goal is to improve the wellbeing of unpaid Carers of all ages throughout Aberdeen, enabling them to continue their caring role where appropriate and supporting them to have a life of their own.
We are seeking a full-time (37 hours per week) Family Wellbeing Worker to join our team. The successful candidate may be required to support and/or supervise volunteers, apprentices, or students.
This is a full-time, permanent contract working 37 hours per week.
Key responsibilities include:
* Enhancing referral, assessment, and support processes for Carers, ensuring coordinated work to support families.
* Developing and implementing new community-based groups for carers and cared-for individuals over 50.
* Assessing the needs of unpaid carers within families and co-producing outcome-based support plans.
* Offering practical and emotional support to Carers to minimize the negative impacts of caring and promote positive wellbeing.
* Facilitating group learning and activity programs for individuals and families.
* Using various tools to consult with Carers, ensuring their views influence service delivery locally and nationally.
* Maintaining accurate records contributing to service evaluation and future planning.
* Performing any other duties relevant to the role.
The role covers Aberdeen City and may require covering other areas as needed, such as during staff absences.
