Location of post: Longford Road, Neath Abbey, Neath
The post involves gathering and safely crossing pedestrians at or near the school, ensuring their safety during road crossing activities.
This position is subject to an Enhanced Check from the Disclosure & Barring Service (Child). Main duties of the post:
1. The gathering of school pedestrians in preparation for road crossing.
2. The control and direction of pedestrians when gathered.
3. The stopping of traffic when necessary.
4. The supervision of pedestrians during crossing.
5. The reporting of matters related to their duties.
You should have experience in:
Work Experience
* Previous experience working with road safety issues.
* Previous experience working with members of the public, including children and adults.
Ideally, you will have the following abilities:
Skills and Abilities
* Effective communication skills.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Ability to adhere to strict times and guidelines.
