Purchasing Co-ordinatorSalary:30-34K (+ progression path)Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)Location: CookstownAbout the RoleWe are looking for a highly organised and proactive Stores & Purchasing Co-ordinator to manage stock, purchasing, and stores operations across both manufacturing and project environments.You will ensure materials, parts, and equipment are bought at the best value, stored correctly, and delivered efficiently to support production and project teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPurchasing & Stock ControlManage daily purchasing in line with company policySource cost-effective materials, parts, and consumablesRaise purchase orders and track supplier performanceMaintain stock levels and reordering systemsHandle goods-in, including damaged or incorrect deliveriesIssue stock to jobs and manage returnsKeep accurate stock records and carry out regular stock countsStores OperationsKeep the stores area clean, safe, and well organisedEnsure all stock is labelled and easy to accessManage PPE stock, including issuing and trackingPrepare materials for workshop and project teamsStock Accuracy & AuditsCarry out regular cycle countsLead the annual stocktake and report discrepanciesInvestigate stock issues and implement improvementsAsset & Equipment ManagementTrack tools, equipment, and hired itemsMaintain asset registers and inspection/calibration recordsEnsure all documentation is accurate and up to dateSystems & ProcessesMaintain and improve the stock management systemDevelop and follow standard proceduresProvide reports on stock, purchasing, and supplier performanceLogisticsCollect items from local suppliers when neededDeliver urgent materials to project sitesEnsure safe transport and handling of goodsHealth & SafetyFollow company health & safety proceduresMaintain compliance records (including CE marking where required)Ensure safe storage of any hazardous materialsSkills & ExperienceEssentialExperience in stores, stock control, or purchasingStrong organisation and attention to detailExperience using stock or ERP systemsGood IT skills (Microsoft Office)Strong communication skillsAbility to manage workload and meet deadlinesGood numeracy and time managementComfortable with physical work in a stores/workshop environmentFull UK driving licenceDesirableExperience in engineering or manufacturing environmentsSupplier management experienceLogistics or materials handling experienceKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing or 5SExperience reducing stock costsForklift licenceWhats on OfferCompetitive salary28 days holidayPermanent, full-time roleSupportive, team-focused environmentTraining and development opportunitiesOpportunity to work on innovative projects and with global clientsSkills:purchasing material controller stock materialsBenefits:Pension Fund Paid Holidays ParkingWHJS1_NI
