Knowledge and Information Resources Advisor

Knowledge Management is a key pillar of our Ampa Group Services offering. The Knowledge Management team facilitates collaboration, sharing, and networking across the Group to improve the flow of knowledge, whether technical legal information about cases, legislation, regulation, client information for cross-selling, or experiences and top tips.
The role will sit within our highly efficient Knowledge Management team, which is a key service line within Ampa Group Services. You will help create, share, and leverage our knowledge effectively to meet client and business needs across the firm.
What you will be doing:
Know How Support
* Supporting and encouraging a culture of know-how sharing, including managing and developing repositories of know-how, their reuse, and exploitation through precedents, practice notes, training, and knowledge packs.
* Supporting the knowledge management team, our people, and other business services functions with legal and business intelligence research, tracking enquiries to identify know-how and training needs.
* Providing current awareness and supporting knowledge-based client marketing (newsletters, seminars, social media), ensuring minimal non-chargeable time for maximum return.
* Horizon scanning to keep legal teams updated on latest developments, trends, and changes in their specialisms and for specific clients.
* Managing information and research resources and databases, including password management and general housekeeping duties.
* Collaborating with the Head of KM and Knowledge Development Lawyers to promote the knowledge management service across the Group.
Training
* Identifying training priorities and developing high-quality training manuals and programs.
* Raising awareness of knowledge management resources and providing training to ensure efficient and productive use of information and research systems.
* Preferred 12 months' experience in a similar role such as Information Services, Research Librarian, or related.
* Strong legal research skills, experience with legal electronic databases, and understanding of effective search techniques, including Generative AI prompting.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, confidence with IT, and ability to learn new systems.
* An LIS qualification.
* Experience managing budgets, negotiating with suppliers, and delivering legal and business research training.
* Experience with Adobe Connect, Adobe Captivate, HighQ, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 applications.
