Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, inspire students, and promote academic excellence. This role requires a commitment to developing students' skills and knowledge while adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
Our provision runs on Saturdays only, from 10 am – 2 pm, teaching primary and secondary students from Year 1 to Year 11, with a focus on supporting homework, reinforcing school learning, and building confidence across subjects. We are looking for teachers with good energy and enthusiasm, who can understand and motivate students effectively.
Duties
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the varying abilities of students.
* Support students with their homework and schoolwork, ensuring understanding and progress.
* Assess and evaluate student progress through regular testing and feedback.
* Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and collaboration.
* Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behaviour.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
* Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Qualifications
* A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) is essential.
* Strong understanding of the national curriculum and educational standards.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Experience in classroom management techniques is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in using technology for teaching purposes is an advantage.
* A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that respects diversity in the classroom.
