Job title: Advanced Apprentice Sheet Metal Work
Location: Barrow-in-Furness (Cumbria)
Salary:Starting from 14,527 23,493 per annum dependent on age, with annual progression through the scheme duration.
What youll be doing:
* Working from planned drawings to fabricate and install components in vessels, areas such as the engine room to the kitchen galley.
* You will use a variety of hand tools, such as jigsaws, dividers, scribers and will be trained to use various large pieces of machinery, from manual folding machines to latest hi-tech computer aided machine lasers.
* Working with different components in your day-to-day work, from 1.2mm thick aluminium to 6mm thick stainless-steel plate.
* As part of your programme, you will additionally be trained to a high standard in a variety of welding techniques.
