Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming secondary school located on the outskirts of Kettering. This is a full-time, term-time only role with an immediate start available, and would suit someone who is passionate about supporting young people and keen to gain further experience within a secondary school setting.
The school has a supportive leadership team and a strong behaviour policy in place. The successful candidate will work closely with classroom teachers and the SEN department to support students aged 11-16, both in lessons and through small group or one-to-one support.
The role will involve:
* Supporting pupils in class across a range of subjects
* Working with small groups and individual students
* Providing support for students with additional learning needs where required
* Helping to maintain a positive and focused learning environment
* Assisting teachers with preparation of classroom resources
The ideal candidate will:
* Have experience working with young people (school experience desirable but not essential)
* Be patient, reliable and adaptable
* Have good communication and teamwork skills
* Hold GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
* Be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
