Job description
The Room Leader is a qualified childcare professional with responsibility for the day to-day running of their room, they perform an important role caring for children, maintaining a high quality, stimulating learning environment, supervising staff and imparting their knowledge and skills to others. The Room Leader should act in a supportive role to the Manager/Deputy Manager, where their contribution to ideas and overall development of the setting is welcomed and valued.
Responsibilities
* To create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.
* To make sure work is all equally shared between room members.
* To adhere to policies and procedures.
* To organise the designated room with system that helps organisation for the staff and children.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* Must have level 3 childcare or above.
* 2 years experience in a similar role or day-care setting. Safeguarding and child protection.
* Health and Safety.
* Fire awareness training.
Desirable Skills
* Paediatrics first aid (Must be completed before start date if offered the role)
